I started my career at Tibshelf (Radford boys) then I moved on to Barrow Hill (St Michaels) who guided me through my first amateur fights. Early on in my career I was given the opportunity to start a new gym in my home town Bolsover. Boxing at this gym brought me to my first final. I finished my amateur career at Danesmoor and Chesterfield Athletic ABC where I gained most of my amateur boxing experience. I signed as a professional at the Wincobank Gym in Sheffield on the 18/01/98 and I have won 28 of my 31 pro fights. My 2nd fight ended in a controversial loss and I suffered one stoppage defeat. I have now successfully gained three professional titles, the British Masters, Midlands Area and the English Light Welter weight. I am now a strong contender for an international title which should bring me closer to a British or World title.
